What are the components of the automotive precision wheel hub assembly and how to assemble it?

The automobile precision wheel hub assembly is mainly composed of the inner and outer rings of the wheel hub brake hub connection screw nut bearing, etc., and is an important component of the automobile axle. Therefore, in order to ensure the product accuracy, the burr and rust on each spare part must be removed and cleaned before assembly, so that the joint surface of each spare part is smooth and flat before assembly.

  1. Press-fit the outer ring of the hub bearing and install the wheel bolts. The same type of hub is equipped with the same type of bolts, the left and right bolts must be assembled strictly according to the requirements, and the wire part is intact when the bolts are pressed in. When there is a hub with abs ring gear installed, the ring gear and the end face of the hub should be flat, and the runout should be less than 0.2mm.
  2. The combined surface of the brake hub should be cleaned and the burr of the brake hub hole should be removed. When the wheel hub and the brake hub are assembled together, the bolts should be tightened diagonally, pre-tightened first, and then tightened to the torque required by the technology.
  3. The brake hub is an important part of the wheel hub assembly, and the smoothness and runout of each piece must be guaranteed. The brake hubs that have been balanced must be inspected every batch after they are assembled. The hole diameter of the drilled hole is required to be less than 20 in diameter during balancing. The depth should not be greater than two-thirds of the wall thickness, the interval between two holes should be greater than or equal to 2mm, and the drilling range should not exceed one-third of the circumference. And use green paint to mark the corresponding bolt end face of the drill hole to facilitate wheel weight.
  4. In order to prolong the life of the wheel hub assembly, different amounts of hp-r high temperature grease for passenger cars or special grease for trucks should be filled in the wheel hub cavity according to different models. Then press in the hub oil seal with a special jig.
