Spherical bearing housing belongs to deep groove ball bearings, the rolling elements inside are steel balls; the outer ring surface is spherical, so it is called outer spherical ball bearings.

 

Compared with other ordinary bearings, spherical bearing housing has a feature of double-layer sealing. Because the operating environment of the outer spherical ball bearing is relatively harsh, especially the agricultural machinery bearing, and the double-layer seal ensures that the dust is not easy to enter the inside of the channel. Although the basic performance of spherical bearing housing and deep groove ball bearing should be similar. However, since this type of bearing is mostly used in relatively rough machinery, the installation and positioning are not accurate enough, the axis of the shaft and the seat hole is poorly aligned, or the shaft is long and the deflection is large. Moreover, the precision of the bearing itself is not high enough, and some structures are relatively rough, so the actual performance of the bearings will be considerably discounted compared with deep groove ball bearings of the same specification. For example: the outer spherical ball bearing with top wire is applied to the through shaft with poor stiffness and large deflection. This kind of bearing has sealing rings on both sides, which can strictly prevent the intrusion of dirt. It has been loaded at the factory

 

Appropriate amount of lubricant, no need to clean before installation, no need to add lubricant, when the jackscrew on the protruding end of the inner ring of the bearing is fastened on the shaft. The allowable axial load shall not exceed 20% of the rated dynamic load.

 

The spherical bearing housing with eccentric sleeve has basically the same performance as the outer spherical bearing with top wire, except that the top wire is not on the inner ring, but on the eccentric sleeve. The inner hole of the tapered outer spherical ball bearing is a tapered hole with a taper of 1:12, which can be directly installed on the tapered shaft, or installed on the optical shaft without shoulder by means of an adapter bush, and the bearing clearance can be fine-tuned.

 

Spherical bearing housing is preferred for occasions requiring simple equipment and components, such as agricultural machinery, transportation systems or construction machinery.

 

The spherical bearing housing is mainly used to bear the combined radial and axial loads mainly radial loads, and generally it is not suitable to bear axial loads alone. This kind of bearings can be installed with inner rings and outer rings separately. This kind of bearing does not allow the shaft to tilt relative to the housing, and will generate additional axial force under the radial load. The size of the axial clearance of this kind of bearing has a great relationship with whether the bearing can work normally. When the axial clearance is too small, the temperature rise is high; when the axial clearance is large, the bearing is easy to be damaged. Therefore, special attention should be paid to adjusting the axial clearance of the bearing during installation and operation. If necessary, pre-interference installation can be used to increase the rigidity of the bearing.

 

Spherical bearing housing is more convenient to use than ordinary angular contact ball bearings. Its key features are easy loading, unloading, and self-alignment. The precision grade of the outer curved surface ball bearing is: inner plus outer minus, and the inner diameter adopts plus size tolerance to ensure the softness when cooperating with the shaft. Installation of spherical bearing housing

  1. Before installing the bearing on the shaft, it is necessary to remove the fixed pin of the outer cover of the bearing, and at the same time polish the surface of the motor shaft to be clean and clean, and apply oil to the motor shaft for anti-rust treatment and lubrication (allow the bearing to rotate slightly on the shaft).
  2. Cooperate and mix grease between the seated bearing and the bearing, and install the rolling bearing into the seated bearing. Then put the installed rolling bearing on the shaft together with the seated bearing. Send to the desired location for installation.
  3. The bolts that fix the bearing with seat need not be tightened first, so that the outer cover of the bearing can rotate on the bearing with seat. Install the bearing and seat at the other end on the same shaft in the same way, rotate the shaft twice, and let the bearing itself automatically align itself. Then tighten the anchor bolts of the bearing with seat.
  4. Install the stop ring. First put the stop ring on the axial force step of the inner pad of the bearing, and tighten it by hand along the rotation direction of the shaft. Then insert the small iron rod into or against the counterbore on the stop ring. Hit the small iron rod with the hammer along the rotation direction of the axis. Make the stop ring installed firmly, and then tighten the hexagon socket head screws on the stop ring.
